Daughters and Sons of Friday is a double-sided fanzine about the leading women and main villains of the Friday the 13th film franchise, originally planned to coincide with the franchise's 40th anniversary in 2020, but was eventually released in February 2021. I consider it a 'spin-off' from Our Ladies Of Horror as it was research done for OLOH that inspired the creation of a dedicated franchise fanzine. The colour scheme of red and blue is directly influenced by the riso print work that also lead to the creation of OLOH.

Designed in a factfile format, the zine reads from each cover to the centrefold, one half about the films' women (or Final Girls), and the other half about the killers, mainly various versions of Jason Voorhees. The centrefold features collaged text and found images.

The design incorporates various analogue and digitial techniques, inspired by 90s zine culture and the photocopied collage production methods.
The main title typeface, Dasof Ransom, was made by myself using letters cut from magazines. The font includes upper and lower case characters, as well as numbers. The second typeface, Erica Ormig, was created by Peter Wiegel and is the same one used in the main body text of Our Ladies Of Horror.
